My only thought would be if the figure does not scare you and leaves when you ask, maybe it is not something to worry about now. Maybe just a curious spirit?

Sorry, I do not know much about this, however I thought I would try to give you something other then an argument.

As far as no fear, I wonder one of two things...
first, are you a born again christians? My personal experiences have, for me, far less frightening than they seem to be for most other people.
second... and this one is way out in left field... I have been told by several peopel that I have an incredibly powerful force of will. Is that true? Lol, how would I know =P
I am indeed VERY interested to hear more details about your O.O.B.E.'s and your spirit guides, if you are willing to share them, and if your guides don't mind being talked about.
Lol, I do have to say this, though... In many encounters with the occult and such things, witches and what not have often freaked and claimed that I disenchanted their tarot cards and enchantments and what not ^.^
Bear in mind that, thoguh I say that, I have had personal experiences that have led me to believe in the supernatural.
Is it just a product of my imagination? Could be. The only way to find out is to explore the possibilities, as I see it.

When I was young my on brother and I could see the shadowpeople as they are called. Always playing on our peripheral vision. We made a game of trying to see them directly so they certainly weren't frightening. A point came I didn't see them anymore but now my teenage daughters are seeing them including the one called the "Hat Man". He appears in a 1930's fedora hat is usually looking at the ground with his arms hanging at his side. When I googled a picture of him my daughters were a little shook because they said he is exactly the picture they are seeing. The real frightening on for people is the hooded figure with red glowing eyes. You are one of the few people that don't speak of the fear he evokes. They all seem to feed off fear and other negative emotions like depression.anger. Energy vampire, interdimentional beings perhaps?

This encounter is very common with many people going through an OBE. I experience a few chanting over me once before I woke up, but I scard them away by trying to suck in their dark energy and change it to light. I will tell you this they are not positive hence the darkness. They get power from fear so the more fear the more power hence more darkness. So do not be afraid instead try to focus on their energy and try to grab them and turn them to light. They will run away in fear of you because you actually have more power over them. They want us to think they are more powerful and teach us something or BS like that when in fact there is another agenda. They want to control our perceptions so that they can get power from that. They also like to try to control our dreams, for instance when I was a child I would have this dream about a monster chasing me, but when I decided to chase it, it then ran away. This is exactly what they are afraid of us, when we are not afraid. They will also pose as entities after death which many in Gnostic text have called them Archons also referred as Dark Masters and Spirit guides. They are tricksters and will try to make you believe that you have no power to create anything on your own after death, when this may not be true. I believe we can leave this world and create our own without any other entity over us. So if you can make it past the false God that may try to trick you into coming back to this world you may make it through.

They are not good...not in anyway. They are from the dark and stay in the dark..so don't put to much energy toward that entity, or give it any power at all.. it wanted to be seen and that in itself is a scary thing..Don't seek it out.
