My wife has just given birth and I was alone in our family home, its a rather large 10 room house that has a small history of paranormal activity though I have never experienced any of it personally. Recently some local (South Asia) witch doctors and clergy added some protection spells across the house to keep away "evil spirits" that might be inflicting bad health on my father. Again I have always been a skeptic and never really bought in too much to this.
However, last night I was watching some random TV over a bottle of scotch after coming back home from the delivery room and had just finished dinner around 12 midnight. I started walking towards the kitchen to get some water to thwart away an impending hangover the next day. Coming back to the room I felt an eerie chill take over me from the top of my head all the way down to my body (as far as I can remember). It was followed with goose bumps around my ear and neck. I stopped, turned around, looked all over the hall. I didn't know what I was thinking but I confronted whatever it was in a very challenging manner. I then just casually walked back to the room and halfway through had a similar experience but ignored it thinking my mind was playing tricks with me.
I was healthy as an ox a few minutes ago but the minute I laid down in bed 20 minutes after the incident, I started feeling very feverish - I consumed two fever reducing pills and went to sleep. Its 5am now and I feel terrible - fever, sore throat and the works.
I can't shake the feeling that something just did something to me last night as I sure as hell wasn't coming down with anything until that point. Can someone shed any light into this matter - is there any precedence to this kind of "attack?"
Thanks in advance to any info you can send my way.

Re: unnatural chill at around 12 midnight followed by fever
Sat, August 1, 2009 - 7:53 PMChildbirth is a stressful thing to be a part of, even as a witness. Take that stress, add to it a late night at the hospital, put some alcohol on top of that (not to mention that late night TV probably isn't good for the brain), and you probably temporarily depressed your immune system, which (again, given you'd just been in a hospital) probably left the door open for a virus to get ahold of you.
